There's a reason why the site is called "songmeanings" not "howilabelwithoutknowing". Just listen to it and try to interpret the song for what it says and not for who is singing. Anyways, I think this song is about the guy she loves, and he died, so she's waiting to die, to be with him, and she is fighting here in earth, but she knows she is going to be with him soon. The "soon" part is to obvious hahaha. |

I think this song is about God and the human being. It talks about wounded soldier (war(of good vs evil)), and that God won't leave us behind no matter what gets in his way, but God talks in past tense, like he's reminding someone who is already lost that He was there for him and that He would have come for him, but only if he had told him to.
Anyways this is what this song makes me think of and I think it's a good way of interpreting it cause it gives us hope of what will come after we die.

yeah musicfreeek i totally agree with you...it's too much a coincidence for it not to relate...they both talk about a girl who is stuck in the past and can't continue her life...but the guy realized it is not working..although he really loves her...(the song you say is in the moment they where together and jack's song is what happened later) |

what i heard of this song is that jack wrote for a friend that was tryin to be with one girl but he never got to be with her and the only thing he did was think about her...so jack wrote this song as a joke for him to make him realize that thing we're better when they we're NOT together |
