well, we are supposed to be discussing what we personally think the song means... in order to help others get an idea of what songs mean etc. etc. that's what this whole website is about! anyway, i personally think that this song is catchy, and poppy sounding.. i guess you can say. BUT, i think that they lyrics are more than what they sound. They go in deeper, and tell a story. It's a bit hard for me to figure out what the story may be, which is why i came to this site to find answers, but i didn't find any. I think that it's about a girl (but geared towards girls in general) and how some tend to do things that they aren't really supposed to be doing. some men know, some don't know. stuff like that. and how, now in our world, there is right and wrong, but there always are people that go around it for different reasons. It's a song about many different things all put together. |

it means, that he doesn't want the day to end. haven't you had that feeling before, when you're with people.. or if you're alone.. and you just don't want that day to end? because time goes by so fast, and you can just feel time slipping out of your reach. Especially when it becomes night time, from a long day, you can start feeling the minutes go by and you really really wish that the moon wouldn't go down, so that way the sun wouldn't come up for the next day. |

wow this is a great song! and i bet it can have lots of meanings! but to me, i can relate to it. because of a breakup i had. and for some odd reason, this fit my situation. i didn't care if we were going to be together or not.. but i just wanted to know how things were going.. and over time, i just wanted him to know that im not the bad person... im just here like i've always been. his fried. :]] |

yes.. i love this song too.. but, the meaning.. lets get to the different meanings it could have! basically, i had sort of a hard time figuring out what this meant.. like the story itself. so i asked a friend. she said, basically.. its about this guy and girl who i guess were going to get married. the girl had some sort of problem.. perhaps..besides that her father wouldn't bless their choice of getting married.. and so he wanted to help her.. but somehow he didn't and he never thought of hurting her.. or betraying her.. but now he does? eh. im not too sure. i'll have to discuss this again sometime. :] although, yes it is very very beautiful. one of my favorites! XD |

wow.. i hate it when people just talk about how much they love a song.. and not what it means to them.. ahah not helping! anyway, im not exactly quite sure what this song meant to the erm writer.. but i love it! i especially love the last part towards erm the : i want to sit and watch the girls in soho square" part. this song is great for lots of stuff... ~ end rant. anyway, to me.. i can relate t othe erm.. "and i want to cry your name-on a saturday when i wakeup sad cause you're not around anymore" because i've felt that way exactly from my own experience. andddddd the way the song sounds just teams up with the way i feel. :] |
