I think the three faces statue represents all the inhabitants of blood mountain, since the front face has an eye in the middle of its head= cysquatch, i think its a god that rules the muntain and i agree with the idea that the blood running from its belly fuels the mountain. |

I actually don't think he broke his head in hand of stone, i think he just went on a trip induced by the natural hallucinogens of the elm forest that the song takes place in

On a blood mountain survival guide made by the band, a pamphlet they gave at concerts, this song number corresponds with an elm forest where there is a rose that is a natural hallucinogen and the bark causes either the same thing or paralyzation im not sure but i think the character ingests some of this stuff and that leads to the mortal soil. |

There a colony of birchmen, and apparently sparse populations of ogres and dwarves, and the only food id sheep which kinda compliments the possibility of him being a wolf since they're associated with eating hseep. |

On the blood mountain survival guide that mastodon handed out at concerts it says location 4(track 4) is a river so im going with fatal liberi but im thinking that he gets caught in a surge of the river and gets transported to the cysquatch |

I think that "mind control has left its nest" refers to the skull being taken out of the cave and that it set off a natural disorder in the mountain that might be in relation to the attacking birchmen and i think there were earthquakes in the siberian divide and this might have started it, some people refer to bladecatcher as a "boss battle' so maybe father snake has left it's nest is a giant reptile that was also upset by the removal of the skull and seeks to return it, as well as the hunters of the sky want the skull back too. |
