Morrissey – I Don't Mind If You Forget Me Lyrics 17 years ago
God, what I love about Morrissey and The Smiths is how relatable it all is. You sing along meaning every word, with your own interpretations.
Then you come on here and read how lonely and isolated everyone else is, and it's like "wow I am part of a community of people who feel as depressed as me!"

This comment could apply to all songs. Just thought I would put it here as this is my favourite song of relevance at the moment.

"REJECTION IS ONE THING
BUT REJECTION FROM A FOOL
IS CRUEL!"

Indeed.... :-(

The Smiths – Shoplifters of the World Unite Lyrics 17 years ago
yeah the first couple of lines remind me of that poem that is like "how do I love thee, let me count the ways"
It makes me think of a more forced or removed love.

The Smiths – Sweet and Tender Hooligan Lyrics 17 years ago
If you take the idea of this being like a trial, the lines
"And he said that he'd never, never do it again
And of course he won't (oh, not until the next time)"

The "Oh" sounds like an interruption - like the two sides of it.
Like "He'll never do it again" "er..yeah, til the next time".

Good Song.

Morrissey – You're The One For Me, Fatty Lyrics 17 years ago
It reminds me of that Shakespeare Sonnet 130. The idea of "Yes, you are imperfect, but I love you anyway". Aww sweet.
