"I walk in from the kitchen and I finger the remote control I watch you from the distance you go walking through the terminal" that to me is the line that sticks out the most. i love how i see him flipping through TV brainlessly and then he starts thinking about her, the last thing he saw was her walking away from him at the terminal of the airport. his last view of her is as she rounds a corner, out of sight. getting lost in a crowd of people, no longer able to distinguish. he remembers every instance until there are no more memories. |

and if the band you're in starts playing different tunes I'll see you on the dark side of the moon quite possibly the greatest line ever. it makes me think of things from syd's point of view. we all know the story how he'd change the songs during practice, but this line makes me see it as him knowing he is playing the same song but the rest of the band keeps changing. he is crazy, he knows he is playing the same song as every other practice. i'll see you on the dark side of the moon. |
