Brandon Flowers – Crossfire Lyrics 15 years ago
No matter which theory we go with, the ex boyfriend/girlfriend thing, the married people in love thing, gay couple, abusive boyfriend theory or any reason why they can't be together, it's the "lay your body down" part that gets me ever time.
It's like saying: it doesn't matter how big trouble we're in or what caused that problem, just lay down next to me and everything's going to be ok for a while. And she will be safe with him and won't have to worry about anything. For me it sounds so calming.

The Bravery – The Spectator Lyrics 15 years ago
Sam talked about the meaning of this song in an interview: "...It's just feeling like there is a glass wall between you and the world and you're not really a part of it. You see how strange these people are and these things are that happen and it's as though they all know something that you don't or they speak in a code, they have like a secret language. And you're not a part of it. Everybody knows something that you don't. I guess that's what The Spectator is about."

The Bravery – Sugar Pill Lyrics 15 years ago
Sam talked about this song in an interview: "...feeling like this whole life, whole lifestyle is just about distracting yourself. It's just about keeping your thoughts off of anything important because those important thoughts might be troublesome. And so sugar pill - it's a meaningless way of making you feel better. Just surrounding yourself with things that preoccupy your mind and entertain you, so you don't have to actually think about anything that could be important cause it might bother you to think about that."

The Bravery – Who Left Me Out Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is about those moments when you look around and everyone seems so damn confident and you feel like a piece of shit among them. You start to think that they know something you don't, like they know exactly how to live their lives and you just don't. Sam put this feeling into words perfectly.

It gives me the same feeling that The Spectator does, you know, feeling like an outsider among people, not belongigng where you are...

Placebo – Meds Lyrics 16 years ago
Maybe I'm trying to read too much between the lines but I don't think it's about drugs or girls at all.
I think it's about fame and how becoming famous affected Brian's life.
He's basically telling how he tries to stay the same person he used to be, tries not to forget people who were important to him when Placebo weren't so famous.
"Baby, did you forget to take your meds?" is like asking yourself: Have I gone crazy? What happened to me?
That's what this song is about for me but I may be completely wrong...

The Killers – Goodnight, Travel Well Lyrics 17 years ago
^ No, it's not about the death of Brandon's parents. It's about Brandon's mother who has brain tumor and the death of Dave's mother.
The lyrics are so beautifully written. I'm sure it will be hard for them to play it live, especially for Brandon to sing.
