After watching the music video a few times, I think the older guy is dying and the little boy is like his guardian angel taking him away (maybe it's even his son because of later occurances). Towards the end (4:10-4:22), the little boy is asking the older gentleman if he's ready to go, or die? And then the lady (wife, perhaps?) is telling the guy (under the large tombstone, which is next to the smaller tombstone which could be her son) to tell her son (the guardian angel?) that she misses him. And then in the picture (1:57-2:03)it looks like it's the blonde, the guy and the little boy. So maybe they are a family? Although, the lyrics do sound like a break-up, so I'm not entirely sure. |

It's anorexia nervosa. Anorexia is technically incorrect as the term "anorexia" may be misinterpreted as a symptom of reduced appetite while the medical condition is technically called anorexia nervosa (where the person has a psychiatric illness that describes an eating disorder characterized by extreme low body weight and body image distortion with an obsessive fear of gaining weight. Individuals with anorexia nervosa are known to control body weight commonly through the means of voluntary starvation, excessive exercise or other weight control measures such as diet pills or diuretic drugs). Bulimia nervosa, on the otherhand, is an eating disorder characterized by recurrent binge eating, followed by compensatory behaviors such as purging and self-induced vomiting. I'm a medical student as well as a psychology student so I know a lot about these disorders and have suffered from both illnesses in my past and am currently battling one at the moment. Anyway, the song is pretty obvious that it's about anorexia nervosa and someone striving for help from another (friend, family member, etc.) but it being difficult to come clean about the issue and overcome it. When it says "Like 'I don't feel well'/'I ate before I came'" and "The day I chose not to eat" that's what makes it sound like it's anorexia nervosa and not bulimia nervosa. Sorry, just had to make some corrections on the disorder and people not correctly labeling this it. Both anorexia nervosa AND bulimia nervosa need to be more out there and have more awareness, especially in today's world where girls (and boys alike!)are at a very young age being exposed to these tall, skinny models and and constantly thinking when they grow up that they need to look that way to achieve greatness and be this perfect person. |

can someone please emphasis on the lines: "It's like we weren't made for this world Though I wouldn't really want to meet someone who was" I have a few ideas, but I'm sure none of them are correct. Thanks! |

Say you're sorry That face of an angel comes out Just when you need it to And I paced back and forth all this time 'Cause I honestly believed in you Holding on, The days dragged on Stupid girl I should have known, I should have known I'm not a princess This ain't a fairytale I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet Lead her up the stairwell This isnt Hollywood, This is a small town I was a dreamer before you went and let me down Now its too late for you and your White Horse, To come around. Baby I was naïve, Got lost in your eyes I never really had a chance I had so many dreams about you and me Happy endings; Now I know I'm not a princess This ain't a fairytale I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet Lead her up the stairwell This isnt Hollywood, This is a small town I was a dreamer before you went and let me down Now its too late for you and your White Horse, To come around. Here you are; At my door Begging for forgiveness, Begging for me Just like I always wanted, But I'm so sorry But Im not your princess This ainIt a fairytale Im gonna find someone, Somewhere Who might actually treat me well. This is a big world, That was a small town There in my rearview mirror, Disappearing now. And it's too late for you and your White Horse Now its too late for you and your White Horse To catch me now. Oh whoa whoa whoa-oh Try and catch me now Whoa-Oh It's too late To catch me now. |
