I swear to god... you people failed the poetry analysis section of English class in high school, because so many of you seem incapable of analyzing the song. You completely ignore entire sections of lyrics. You know, the words they choose aren't random, and every stanza contributes to the meaning. Good song. |

If you didn't catch the heavy-laden sarcasm evident in the song, you fail at listening. There's endless contrasting phrases and lines that made it feel painfully obvious to me that his intent was the put into perspective just what a president is. He's a human being. Point being, the president is a human being, just like us, yet when so and so million people die, why don't we stop our breakfast, why don't we let our entire day go to hell, because they die. i really think the idea he is impressing is the value of human life, and the INSANE bias we give to a title. |
