I think this is a great song. When I first listened to the lyrics I cried, just because its a song where it doesn't have to be an ex to feel the pain of it; its just people moving apart. I love the line 'You missed the one we dressed like clowns', which made me think of the Mr Writer video, and made me realise how personal the song was to the stereophonics. |

I never really listened before but this is what I think: I think its an old man, possibly talking to his younger family. They seem to be convinced that when he dies it'll be perfect and there'll be white light, but he's doubtful. He feels that he is a burden on them, and that they are all laughing and finding it hard to be around him. I love this song. Listening to the instumental bit makes you feel like you're floating. |

I love this song. It's fitting how I'm feeling now that I'm at uni and missing my boyfriend. Especially "And I'm tired of being all alone, and this solitary moment makes me want to come back home." and "Because I'm torn to do what I have to", because I am... :( |

| I love this song, but it always makes me want to sing along when I can't :( | |
| Audioslave – Like a Stone Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I used to love this song before I actually worked out what the words really were... it sounded like someone waiting for their partner because I heard it as "In your arms I long to be".... "In your house I long to be" just adds a sinister touch to it all. | |

This is a really beautiful song I haven't heard for ages, but it just came up on my music. I think this probably is about someone that's died, and how she's trying to cope with it. She feels slightly annoyed that the person gave up at the end, and guilty/helpless, but she's trying to come to terms with it all. |

I never really listened much to the lyrics of this until recently, apart from the 'She is everything I need that I never knew I wanted. She is everything I want that I never knew I needed.' To me, I can really relate to it at the moment. I've just gone to uni, and I'm having to be seperated from my boyfriend. I know the distance will make us stronger in the long run, but it's still incredibly painful right now. Especially with 'This is going to bring me clarity. This'll take the heart right out of me.' It's probably not the actual meaning of the songwriter, but it still fits extremely well |
