The Script – If You See Kay Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's a conversation between two partners, the singer's talking like nothing happened but he really means the wordplay.

They have, you can hear it in Beautiful Day and I Still Haven't Found.

Eskimo Joe – Sarah Lyrics 16 years ago
I personally think this song might be about a schizophrenic that the persona wants to help. The garden by the flowers, in my opinion, seems to refer to an hospital. The other verses add to the conflicting nature, and the choruses are about how he's still trying to help her.

The Finn Brothers – Won't Give In Lyrics 16 years ago
Not really, this is a really positive song, about all you have to cling to in life, promises and committments and such, that really make life worth living.

Alex Lloyd – Lucky Star Lyrics 17 years ago
Really great song, but much darker than his oder stuff. Kind of scares you when you hear it, but it's also so well made and written. Probably about someone in pain, and the singer is trying to tell them that it's alright, but it doesn't fit it all.

U2 – Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that the chorus line of "sometimes you can't make it on your own" isn't telling them that they shouldn't have went without help, it's telling them that they would have made it had you lent them help. Very sad, moving song.

Carolina Liar – Show Me What I'm Looking For Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that the second verse "don't let go" etc isn't talking to god, instead it's talking to his worldly desires? I mean he's asking god to lead him away from these desires and the other verse is speaking to the desires that he's wanted it for a long time and is addicted. All makes it a lot more sad and meaningful.

Oasis – Champagne Supernova Lyrics 17 years ago
Might be about if the singer was "getting high" and then he'll end up in a landslide in a champagne supernova, where everything he did before just collapsed onto him because he wasn't really doing anything, and the person he's singing to went off to be successful. It's a bit like two childhood friends, one ends up being successful and the other ends up somewhere terrible, and needs help from the other.

The Living End – Moment in the Sun Lyrics 17 years ago
Great chord riff at the start, great song overall, anyone else think it's better than white noise?

U2 – Beautiful Day Lyrics 17 years ago
Yes, it is quite religious, Noah after the flood, the birth of Jesus, and also "touch me, take me to that other place" reminds me about the time Jesus was on the cross and the thief next to him says "remember me in paradise" (paradise being the "other place")

The Beatles – Come Together Lyrics 17 years ago
I know that John wrote this but it sounds like it's about himself, in vague references...
especially bag production (he was a somewhat leader)
walrus gumboot (apparently I am the Walrus related to his life)
Ono sideboard (he married Yoko Ono in the year the song was released)
hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease (Beatles often said that some of John's depression or anger shown outward).

The Script – The Man Who Can't Be Moved Lyrics 17 years ago
Great song, really inspiring how he sings it happily and in major, as if she is coming back, even though the lyrics point out that she is probably not. Very inspiring and very sad to see someone this dedicated to their relationship.

Jack Johnson – Taylor Lyrics 17 years ago
Taylor sounds like that story about "the Matchstick Girl". I think the rest is also along the lines of this, people doing what they can to get money.

The Band – The Weight Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about Jesus, despite the comments of meaningless songs. In my views, the narrator isn't given any help, he doesn't get anything from anyone else unless he does something in return, and Jesus takes their load anyway, even though they are not the best people or anything.

The chorus is a dead giveaway, to take the load off someone and put it on me is definitely about how Jesus took our sins, in my opinion.
