Im a huge deftones fan. actually fanatic. i can say that chino writes his songs with meaning to himself but leaves his lyrics so ambiguous anyone can relate to them personally. I think the song is about being absolutely crazy about someone. Someone who is out of your league or someone you JUST DEEP down know you cant have. Your shots of hooking up with them are like hooking up with natalie portman. lol. and about finally being heartbroke at the fact you cant have them. so you say im not gonna wait on you anymore. its about letting go. |

Chino's greatest characteristic is probably his ability to make a song have a certain positive vibe but a negative meaning. he does it alot with his songs. alot of his love songs are really angry and heavy sounding and alot of his uplifting sounding songs are about malicious type things like murder or abuse. deftones fanatic |

i hate it when ppl post comments on how much they like the song. the site is song meanings. its about what it means not if you like it or not. im a huge deftones fan. im crazy about em, know every word to every song and can play most of em on guitar. this song is pretty easy to translate. its about that couple that hates each other. they have attitude problems (sink your teeth, bat your eyes) and are always cutting deep with their words (15 stitches and a soft parody) its about their love life going down (sleeping for hours to keep away) and how they think that the anger they cause each other is proof they love each other(the sting proves heart to me) its about being a relationship where both parties need to move on and let it go cuz its never gonna work yet for some reason they cant seem to let each other go. we all know that couple or have been apart of one. they love each other and at the same time they are absolutely miserable together. |
