I think its about a boy who has lost his girlfriend. And he cant let go of her, cant stop thinking about her. "The Darkness always finds me When I hear your name" I think that is about how people ask if they are still together and his heart drops when he is pulled back to realising he's lost her. "It should have been me And I want you to know That I'll hold you in my heart And I won't let go" Here he is saying that his girlfriend should of been with him not this new guy she's found. But even though he's not with her, he will continue to love her forever. "Just take away this sorrow It's too much to bear" here he is saying: if you wont take him back then just take the pain away. "Drifting, from your memory I'm lost, lost without your love" she is forgetting about him. he feels confused on what to do now that he has no lover. he doesnt know where to go or how to live. "Now the time goes by but the torment remains" He was hoping he'd get over her as time went past but he still dies inside at not having her. well it seems pretty obvious to me. its about a sailor having to leave his wife while he goes on an exploration of the world with his crew. he misses his wife and remembers telling he'll be home soon. she misses him but one day the boat returns. somehow he isn't on it. the returned crew tell her how he fell over board and that unfortunately he's probably not coming back. the husband is stranded on an island but builds a boat and makes his way home to keep his promise. she has died on by the time he returns and he cant believe he failed her. he promises her spirit he'll be coming to find her soon and commits suicide to be reunited with his love. not exactly happy but... :) |

Wake yourself up You've been dreaming again About having new friends in a ghost town he is awoken by his wife. she explains how he's been dreaming again and none of it actually happened. then she jokes about how he dreams of having friends. well i personally see this song as a story of his life, not his whole life just a major section. he explains to someone how he was heading for rock bottom and it seemed like he had no life or hope of happiness. but then he meets this new person and at first he doesnt know how to react. he becomes angry or aggresive but behind this outburst he had nothing. no strength, no fight, no hope. even though this new person knew they could of killed him they chose to help him. he sees through the generosity though and sees that they will use him and leave him, but even though he knows he cant bring himself to leave them. he feels almost indebted. |

nope can't believe how stupid this arguement is. and basicly because some dude took time out of HIS life to acknowledge them. in my opinion thats kinda showing that they impact his life. and seeing as they arent on radio or anything he must go out his way to hear he is legend. im thinking someone needs a girlfriend. but anyway this song is about how someone decides to take a stupid risk for a girl. a friend of the boy is almost warning him that the girl is off limits and that if she wasnt he would also want to try being with her. but the boy who is taking the risks decides he doesnt care what his friend thinks and goes ahead with his plan. when the plan starts to crumble and the friends words are all coming true the boy fails and ultimately doesnt gain anything from his endeavour but pain and sorrow. the friend then starts asking himself why people wont listen to anyone even if they've been through the situation themselves and speak from experience. ayup |

For me this song is about how a man has been suffering a poor relationship with his girlfriend. he dreams of running away and being happy but in reality he cant bring himself to do it. when he wakes up from his dream of running away he asks himself how she can want people she hasnt even seen to be hers or want her, also he starts imagining why she does it and his conclusion is that she is following advice given to her by someone to always have a back-up ready. then he starts telling her how she is giving bad, ugly, unworthy people a chance with her when she doesnt need to if she loves him. he tells her how he has seen her dating one of these people and how he had to resort to drugs to try get over the pain he felt. then he remembers that every time he took a drag he longed for her and he could almost "feel her in his lungs". He asks her to accept him, to take his heart and everything precious to him. Then he confronts her again and asks her who she would rather have. him or them. and when she cant answer he asks her who she would rather remove from her life. He asks her these questions but he is also asking himself the questions because in truth he doesnt know anymore. His heart still longs for her but his mind tells him she doesnt feel the same. he leaves and spends the night at a hotel. then they both lay down in bed, restless, and think about how life can be confusing and how they dont know what they want. They both know there will be other good people out there waiting for them. both of them wish they had the relationship they imagine with other people, but they dont. they're with each other in a totally different relationship. The next morning the man returns to his home and one last time he asks her who she wants and she doesnt want. hoping for her to want him. i think i went deep enough with that. |

In my eyes its clearly about the corruption of power within America. He seems to be speaking out to people preaching almost about how they can no longer let this mis treatment of people go on. I love these lyrics: "if I stand alone I will fight for you" Passionate and Heroic. Standing against America is a big task for powerful countries such as Russia and China, but for one man to stand up to it alone shows courage and greatness. That one part of the song inspires me to no end. And if it came to it I would stand up and fight for my girlfriend and all good people in the world. |

Love song... or atleast the remains of what used to be love. a boy has fallen out of love with his girlfriend and "love". he is hissing at the girl, explaining how he no longer sees what he once did. and the what he does see is what he doesnt want. he asks her if its time to end the relationship yet. he carries on with the spitting out of words. he doesnt know what she has become. but he wont tell her next boyfriends what she's like even when he does. one more time asking if its over yet. he cant win with her, she turns everthing against him. Get away, please..." the lead up to the chorus is him exploding his emotions on to her. he asks her to let him end the relationship and leave with some dignity. he shouts out over the top of her and tells her he knows when she lies to him. he is explainig that he is leaving and she needs to get away from him before he does something he'll regret. the chorus is when he finally lets his sorrow out and tells her how she's made him feel. he teaches her how his heart has almost given up on life and that if she really wont let him leave that easily then she'll have to fight to stay friends with him because he'll be the one she commits suicide over and he knows this. Blatant love song. its passionate and deserves more credit than it gets. anyway on to the meaning. for me the opening lyrics are about a man lying to himself about his relationship. then he snaps back into reality. Watch as they all fly away." the chorus now shows that the relationship needs couceling (the hero) but the boy isnt going to wait for the councelors to "have time". he will hold onto the people he loves but in the end he knows he'll have to watch them walk away. now he is telling the girl that he was once told that love would save everyone. but now he doubts the truth of this statement as his dealings with love have left him with pain and bruised hearts. "Now that the world isnt ending, its love that Im sending to you. It isnt the love of a hero, and thats why I fear it wont do." he realises his chance has came to be happy. he sends his love to the girl and hopes she'll return it. but he still doubts himself and fears that it wont be enough. In my mind this is another love story. For me this song can mean only one thing. Im still fascinated by what others think it is though. I feel that its about a friend warning you that they need to look at their relationship with a girl. the girl must be special because there is alot of focus on her. "talk to her, dont leave her behind you shut her out for too long i know, cause ive seen her cry if you keep her down she'll get up and move on" i feel that this is the friend explaining that you cant be stupid about this relationship. they are stating that she wont stay with someone who treats her this bad. "wake up its time open your eyes you've got to let her know stop wasting time make up your mind love her or let her go" Now the chorus is the friend shaking you and making sure you hear them. they are telling you that its been too long since you've shown her affection. they are telling you to show her how much you love her or just end it and move on instead of wasting her time. "talk to her, you've done something wrong we've all got something to hide but dont turn your back for too long there'll always be somebody waiting in line" Now they are being more calm and saying she's not the one doing wrong its you. dont reject her cos there will always be someone waiting to steal her away from you. If you've read my other comments you'll see that they all involve a girl and how the relationship isnt working but the boy wants it to. anyway this for me is another boy and girl relationship. "close your eyes" he is telling her not to look at him in this state. He then tells her that the relationship is going on but he is finding reasons why they SHOULDN'T be together and even though he's looking he cant find reasons to stay with her. "I believe in you. I can show you that I can see right through, all your empty lies. I wont stay long in this world so wrong." He tells her that he believes she loves him. although he tells her he can prove he knows when she's lying to him. He wont stay much longer in her life if she is going to treat him with such disregard. "Say goodbye, as we dance with the devil tonight. Don't you dare look at him in the eye. As we dance with the devil tonight." Now he is telling her she might aswell say goodbye to him now as the things he is gonna tell her arent gonna be things she'll be able to excuse. Another song that relates to how I feel :). for me this a relationship between a boy and a girl. "My hands are broken, And time is going on and on it goes, Forever (hello) So I got high and, Lived all that life That I have taken all for granted" He is saying that his hands are broken due to having to deal with the stress she is giving him. Time is going on and on and on and he just wants his time to end. So he tried to make himself happy and live his life instead of sitting feeling sorry for himself. "Promise me you'll try, To leave it all behind Cause I've elected hell, Lying to myself Why have I gone blind? Leave it all behind You You" The chorus is him speaking to the girl. he says she needs to promise him she'll try to forget him when he commits suicide. he has elected hell and his mind is set on this being whats right for him. he's become blind to all of the things that made him happy and he is asking for help but then gives up on the help and tells himself to leave it all behind as he wont worry about it soon. Then he returns his focus onto the girl and suddenly his mind is confused he can only say "you". "The only way up Is letting your guard down and never die Forgotten (alone) Forgive me my love I stand here all alone And I can see the bottom" Now he is back to his frustrated state of mind and is explaining to the girl that the only way to live happily is to let life hit you a few times and not to block out everything. then he tells her not to die forgotten this must mean that she should find someone else to remember her and love her. Then he reverts back to the situation. He is down on life. he states he is alone in the way he feels and that he wants her to forgive him for leaving her like this. Its not the way he wanted it but its how its happening. He sees his choice of death and says he is going to end the sorrow soon. "Promise me you'll try, To leave it all behind. My view on the song. A boy loves a girl. the relationship is not working to their expectations. He is admiting he cant erase the stupid things he said to her and the relationship is surely over. "You're better than me" is the boy telling the new person they wont have to go through what he did as they are better than him and will know how to treat her right. He says goodbye as if he is going but then continues to argue showing that in his heart he doesnt want to leave. "so why are you so eager to betray?" is him asking for a reasonable answer to her actions. "pick the pieces up" is him saying give me my answer and let me feel enlightened. to which she says: "so why are you the one that walks away?" which is her saying you think im doing all these things wrong but you wont sit and hear the story, you make up your mind before knowing the entire thing. "pick the pieces up" is now being said by the girl. She is asking him to make her feel whole again. Thats my view on the song. I took alot of that from my experience with my girlfriend. :') |

I think its about the frustration a boy is going through with a girl. im relating this to my life because for me, music is a good way of showing emotion. He is saying "let the fun and games begin" because he recognises that life with this girl is going to be hard and by saying fun and games he is almost mocking the hurdles that will come into his path. She is spayed and broken in, skin is cold and white, such a lovely, lonely night. This is the boy stating all the girls flaws and basicly saying he is ready for the rest of his life with this girl. "Heaven is on the way You could feel the hate But I guess you never will I'm on a roll again And I want an end 'Cause I feel you creeping in" this part is the boy telling the girl that he feels unhappy with her flirting with everyone and anyone that shows any interest and he is saying you could feel the way i do but i dont let you. he wants an end but not to the relationship, he wants an end to the unfaithful acts. You're so loud I'm heading for a breakdown" the main part of the chorus is him expressing how his life is turned upside down and that he is trying to get his feelings across (whats that sound? you're so loud) but all she hears is her own voice, the one that says what she is doing is fine and that the boy needs to love her or let her go. He is also stating to all his competitors that its not a free for all, she is his girl and they should back off. For me this is about two people in love. you may think WTF!?!? but here's my view on the song. he says "is there a place that WE can go... There has to be a closer country where love can live near me..." two major parts for me. they show that he is not alone and that he feels he has to show his love for her by doing these outstanding tasks. (teaching children not to grow and finding a place where heart break is easy to forget) when he is asking "is there no love?" he is asking his love wether she believes he loves her. People will probably say 'what about the fact he is looking for a new home and that he is telling someone that he doesnt live here anymore?' but still i think this fits in with what im saying. he's looking for a new home because he feels his home is not good enough for his love and that he wants her to have a better life with him. He says there is SOMEONE knocking on my door meaning he doesnt know them. He refuses to answer incase its someone coming to take his love away from him and he resents the thought. well thats my view even if you dont believe its the right view. |

I think its about someone who loves a girl and he sees them switching partners alot. (It started again Claimin' a friend I couldn't be I've never been) he wishes he could be with her and he stands outside during winter staring in at her through her window wishing. (I'm all alone Out in the cold) He realises that he'll never know her innocence and this saddens him and makes him feel empty. (I'll never know Your sugarcoat) Then one day she chooses him and tells him they'll run away and live together. but he still feels the emptienss from not knowing her innocence. (You're ready to blow You're ready to go But I'll never know Your sugarcoat) there are signs like this all through the song but i dont want to spend too much time writing this one as im writing as many as i can. thats just my opinion about this song. |
