Elbow – Grounds for Divorce Lyrics 17 years ago
The "hole in my neighbourhood" refers to the Temple bar in Manchester. I've been there a few times myself. It used to be an underground toilet.. it's tiny. It got converted into a bar. http://www.thisiswesternmorningnews.co.uk/features/Mercury-men-slip-shadows/article-322752-detail/article.html

Elbow – Friend of Ours Lyrics 17 years ago
This is such a beautiful song. I went to Salford Uni with Bryan. He died during the second year. I didn't know him well because he was on a creative writing course and I was doing Literature but I spoke to him a little.
We used to have a Lit meeting where we'd all read our writings to each other.. I remember he read a story he'd written and it was set in Israel, It was so vivid the way he told it, I felt like I was there. He was such a talented guy. I knew he played music but I had no idea just how much he'd done in his life until recently. This song sums him up wonderfully.
