| I think this song is about going to a strip club or something, secretively and being ashamed of it, but wanting to fulfil a lust and quickly, impatiently - 'spare me the suspense' and 'enough with this fucking insense' make me think of someone teasing but the narrator just wants to satisfy his urge immediately. | |

"Who said unbroken happiness Is a bore, is a bore? Who said it, my love? I don't mind it Anymore, anymore" Beautiful bit. It's just questioning why people can't just be completely happy, why there has to be more, a moment where he seems to express complete satisfaction |

That's a really shit comment, it's not ambiguous enough to mean more than one thing. Kele is a homosexual, and, with that in mind consider this being about him being 'in the closet' and not telling his parents - 'we tell lies to our parents who hide in their rooms...', having a boyfriend that he can't show to them - 'we cover our lies with handshakes and smiles...'. Consider also the use of gay slang 'polar bear', talked about earlier, it's about being secretive in a love relationship that is not likely to be accepted by other people around him. I think 'of course we could never make this love last' is about not being able to keep a secret relationship going and not breaking up because he says '...so hold on', but asking his older partner to wait for him perhaps to move out and be able to be with him properly. There's my two cents |
