| Linkin Park – In Pieces Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Breakup song. Its about how he won’t be having any regrets about their relationship ending because she was the one who messed things up. And she will be the one miserable once she realizes how she drove him away and ruined the relationship. Nice song. | |

| Literally describes the thoughts that go through someones head when they are severely depressed. Anyone who has gone through depression can relate to this. | |

| Linkin Park – By Myself Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is about someone who has had many bad experiences and failures in his life. Even when things should have gone right for him, it went wrong. So now he feels that when he faces any new challenge in life he will fail at it no matter what. It could be anything from a job interview to a new relationship. He feels that even if he tries his best and does everything right, something will come along and ruin things. Or if he sits back and lets fate take control, he will fail anyway. So in his mind he is paranoid and very pessimistic. He is his own worst enemy and can’t rely on himself. So the song is describing how he feels when he is faces a new challenge in life. He is very pessismistic and thinks he will fail at this new task no matter what. It could be anything from a job interview to a new relationship. So he has become his own worst enemy. Because he think |

Yes the song can be a metaphor for something like many people so far have said but if you try to get a metaphoric explanation, then this song could be about many many things. So I think I will stick to the literal meaning because most likely the literal meaning is the correct one. It’s a song about someone who is suicidal and wants to die but cant bring himself to kill himself. |

| Linkin Park – From The Inside Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It’s about being screwed over by someone very close to you over and over again. He is done trying to make the relationship with this person work. Most likely about bf/gf breakup but like most LP songs it’s ambiguous enough to be tied in with anyone you are close to. | |
| Linkin Park – Easier To Run Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Very sad song. It describes the thoughts of a person who is extremely depressed because of the life he has had. A couple of lines really show what this song is about. "Wounds so deep they never show they never go away Like moving pictures in my head for years and years they have played" His past is so horrible that he does not show his true feeling to anyone, but inside he is in terrible pain and he can never forget his past. "Sometimes I think of letting go And never looking back And never moving forward so There would never be a past" His depression has also made him suicidal "If I could take all the shame to the grave I would " But he cant bring him to kill himself. "It's easier to run Replacing this pain with something numb It's so much easier to go Than face all this pain here all alone" So he "runs" from his pain though the help of anything that will make his feelings numb. This could be referring to a number of things i.e. drugs, alcohol, cutting, prescription pills, anti depressants etc. In the end he is always alone with his pain, and realizes it would just be easier if he was dead. |

| Linkin Park – Breaking The Habit Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Obviously the main theme of this song is suicide as a solution to whatever problem your facing. The first two verses describe the problem. LP wasnt too specific on what the problem they were talknig about was. But based on the lyrics its most likely drugs or cutting is taken literally. Or it could be describing how severe depression makes you feel. The chorus and the last bridge clearly describes suicide "I'll paint it on the walls" :Self explinatory "I'll never fight again and this is how it ends" : Hes totally giving up on trying to get better "I'll never be allright so Im breaking the habit tonight" : He realizes his problem will never go away so he kills himself |
