Awesome song. I have to disagree with people though. I think the new version is better because the first one sounds live. And no offense, but the guy's voice without changing it with recording software isn't that good. The girl's voice still sounds awesome though. But also, the first version had parts in it that almost sounded.. hm.. out of time, I think, which was also refined in the newer one. That's my rant. As for the meaning, Another Lyrical Lie looks like they've analysed it pretty damn well. :o

Uhm, just in the first line, I actually think he says "Hear the PISTONS pump, hear the engine roar." Description of a car (or bus in the case of the video clip) going fast.. high revs and such.

Just so everyone is clear, there were some words I couldn't quite pick up so I put in what I think. And one of the lines on there is literally a line and that's cause I didn't have a clue what they said. :P So if anyone picks up anything that's wrong with the lyrics, if you can comment them and I'll change them for you if I reckon you're right. As for what I think it means, I think they're talking about how much they love music and writing music, and people who criticize musicians piss them off a bit
