| Mumford & Sons – Liar Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love this song so much. Theres so much feeling in it, especially in the chorus. But then, at the end, it's toned down, like a weakeness or giving up. I think its about loving someone who said they love you, but they don't, or don't anymore. And knowing they dont love you anymore so when they say they do, you know theyre lying. But at the end it shows being fragile and weak to this person. Not being able to resist them. So amazing. | |

what only one comment? I love this song. I think its based on Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk. Especially with the "When I say shotgun, you say wedding" and "Hiding in estrogen and boys will be boys" |

I love love love love this song. First song I ever heard by them. I think its about a relationship that ended badly, and he is still in love with her, and she ignores he exists. "It's been a tough year for all it's worth Still keep my phone number at the bottom of your purse Between your sticks of gum and all the Reasons why you don't call me anymore" It sounds like he's hoping she still keeps his phone number, just incase. Keeping hope that she might call, but she doesnt. "Just in case you change your mind Hang a right at the lights, I get off work at five I'm a song away on your stereo So just get in your car and drive" Where he works, and being 'a song away' meaning it only takes a couple minutes, hoping she'll take a few minutes to see him. "I think it's high time you find Diamonds in this coalmine called me" He thinks its time she saw something she like in him. "And there's reasons to prove I can change If that's what you want me to do" He would change for her. "Four years I kept so clean December came and I broke last week Now there's a message on your machine That I wish I could erase" For some reason this makes me think of alchohol. So maybe he was sober for four years and then broke and left a message on her machine which he regrets. I thought maybe it could be four years of not calling her but at the start it mentions one year, which makes me think theyve been broken up for only one year. "In a coffee shop, behind menu's Into a porcelain cup you broke the news When you said there's nothing here left for you Well I guess you meant me too" I think this is more of a nostalgic flashback to when she broke up with him, telling him there was nothing for her, and he thinks there was nothing for him aswell. "There's a tattoo On your shoulder And it reminds me We get a little older (we get a little older) We get a little older (we get a little older)" I think it means theres a tattoo on her shoulder (duh) but when he see's it, it reminds him of her, and that theyre getting older and wiser and they might get back together. "Here I am Washed up on your shore once again For reasons even I don't understand I'm drawn into your flame" He's come back to her and he doesnt know why he's still in love with her. |

| Aqualung – Strange And Beautiful (I'll Put A Spell On You) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This was on the OC was it not? I think its more of a secret admirer than a stalker Kind of the whole she doesnt know he exists kind of thing. And he loves her, and wants her to be in love with him. So the whole 'I put a spell on you' thing is him wishing that she'd notice him. "I'll put a spell on you You'll fall asleep I'll put a spell on you And when I wake you, I'll be the first thing you see And you'll realize that you love me" I was thinking that maybe this might mean that he's wishing and trying to get her to notice him and when she does notice she'll 'wake up' and realise she loves him. That was just a random thing I thought. I just think this song is beautiful though. Its so honest (Sometimes the last thing you want comes in first. Sometimes the first thing you want never comes. I know that waiting is all you can do, sometimes) and yets its so hopeful and has a sense of not giving up. Its just amazing. |

I completely agree with what fueledbyramenaddict said about this song meaning This has something very beatle's about it, I really love this song, im not even a fan of panic, I only like about 4 songs or something by them, but this song literally took my breathe away. I think this song is about a girl who moves or well goes to 'the east' and the boy misses her "You are at the top of my lungs Drawn to the ones who never yawn" I love that line. It reminds me of the whole screaming at the top of your lungs thing, so it makes me think that it means theyre who they want to yell for. And the last bit makes me think that its a statement about where the girl has gone; like theyve gone to a city that never sleeps or something. |
