| Cat Power – Werewolf (Michael Hurley cover) Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Here's my interpretation with the correct lyrics that someone posted :) "Oh the werewolf, the werewolf comes stepping along he don't even break the branches where he has gone" I think this means the man, who is not actually a werewolf, is a normal man who is a good person "once i saw him in the moonlight when the bats were flying saw the werewolf and the werewolf was crying crying nobody knows how i loved the man as i teared off his clothes crying nobody knows my pain when i see that it's risen that full moon again..." I think this whole part here is she is seeing the good man in a different light, and the good calm man that he is became almost ummmm unstable i guess you could say and because he was in pain he lashed out at the people he loved, even though he didn't mean to. He only hurt ones he loves because he himself was in pain and it was a natural reaction, despite him being a good person. "for the werewolf have sympathy for the werewolf's somebody like you or me old Igor told me man, this little flute i play all through the night until the light of day and when you do play... for the werewolf, for the werewolf have sympathy for the werewolf's somebody like you or me" She understands that the man is just a human and that what he did was completely understandable. I'm sort of puzzled about the Igor part. I think it could mean that the man's suffering is constant, night and day, and that when he lashes out just remember to understand why and be sympathetic. Beautiful song :) I hope I'm somewhat close with my interpretation haha This song is so haunting, beautiful, and completely perfect. |

i think this is about a girl who is dying, most likely due to anorexia and/or drugs, medication, pills, etc. he is spending time with her and she is questioning the life she will be leaving behind. he is telling of how she lived her life for others ("they will applaud you for playing the role") and how she thought it all would do her good, but in the end everything only ended up killing her. its "pigment pale and figure frail" |

it's definately about being shy. i love this song. i relate to every word. its good to know that someone else can relate. i love how she words it. "got a garden of songs" then "i picked you this bouquet". she has songs (flowers from her garden) which she put into a boouquet (songs for everyone to hear). her songs are the best way she can communicate to people. |
