Kimn, I know your comment was written years ago, but I felt the need to reply. I don't understand why the first line of the song is so wrong in your opinion. For starters, while my mom does use powered or premade lemonade at times for convenience, on some hot summer days she still makes it from scratch. Nothing old fashioned about it. Just great refreshing taste. I think the main purpose of the line, however, isn't the fact it's lemonade, it's that it's made by her mother, someone she loves (even if the daughter only loves her for the homemade lemonade, if one wants to be that cynical). Whenever I hear that line, I find myself recalling family recipes that are special to me that I remember my mother making for me when younger. I get a nostalgic feeling when I do. I'm sure others can relate to that as well. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this properly but, in essence, while this is a simple line, yes, it is one that has the ability to convey so much in just five words. |

| I'm pretty sure she wants to "explore the world", not "exploit" it. :p | |

Felq, I believe what they mean is that it has been about a week since they walked away. Away from the relationship, the situation.... I happen to love this song (and The Script). They are simply amazing. I love every line in this song, but I think I'd have to say my favorites are: "We were sitting with our backs against the world Saying things that we thought but never heard" and "There was a time that we’d stay up all night Best friends, yeah, talking til the daylight Took the joys alongside the pain With not much to lose but so much to gain" |
