| No prob! I love their lyrical style so I kinda study them quite a bit. I could be wrong but I see the "my head don't match my water well" line as meaning something to the effect of them not recognizing themself in their own reflection. The person they are or have become is not who they see in the mirror/reflection of the water. Correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what I got out of it. | |

| I can't believe nobody's commented this one yet, it's one of my favorites from this album. I'm not too sure on the meaning, but it sounds to me like he's referring to a girl or an ex who's been around the block, or a sex addict or something. A girl that everyone wants, and shares herself with everyone. The lines "Now you do want you want to do, Whenever you want to, baby that's just nasty" is what gives the overall meaning to me. Just my thoughts. Great song though, and an amazing album. | |

| prep metal? that's seriously a stereotype now? middle/high school metalheads eh? sounds more like glorified emo kids trying to one up each other on the "who can be more xhardxcorex" scale. if ANYTHING is "prep metal" it's avenged sevenfold and atreyu. but hey, gotta respect them for getting me into metal a few years ago, even if they suck. ANYWAY, this song is obviously about the virgin mary giving birth to "christ". i used to hate these guys, but they grew on me. not the best metal band ever, but they're good. This song is totally about a heroin addict. I used to think it was just a friend that screwed him over, until I had a friend who became addicted to heroin, it matches everything SO perfectly. "You stole so much from me and there is nothing left to take" heroin addicts steal anything from their friends or family to pawn off and get a fix. And "Take a good look at yourself and know, You’ve got yourself a ways to go, But difficult is not impossible. You can take back all the lost control." totally matches that. My friend who is addicted to heroin has no self control, he's not the same person anymore... He doesn't look the same, he was a huge pimp and every girl wanted him... Now he totally could pass as a zombie. I don't know, I could be way off about the song, but either way it fits perfectly. |
