| Protest the Hero – 5th Commandment Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| My opinion about the meaning of the song “The 5th Commandment” by Protest The Hero is, The song portrays a protest about war. It is more a protest of “war” in general then a specific battle. The Lyrics say “How many more must die, how long until we realize why must we all take sides, what are we fighting for we've lost all reason why.” in meaning of, why do people start wars?, What reason is there to fight a war that in the end, you gain absolutely nothing. “Religion is killing all over the place, everyone is striving to be the master race, you fight for your freedom and you kill for peace, but your whole damn cause is hypocrisy.” This part of the song says that people are fighting for nothing. The war started by religion and striving to be the master race is pointless, why would people fight to be the master race or fight over who's religion is better. This is amazing protest song to protest war and fighting for religion. In my opinion, fighting for religion is pointless because no matter what you do everyone is going to have there own personal thought about something. Whether its religion or politics, war isn't going to change the opinion of others. | |
