I think the song is about two people who made a connection that really affected one another. Though the time spent was short, it was all that was needed to know. It was enough for the one person to know that they wanted to be with the other but I think the other person, the narrator, was unsure at first. They might have had other obligations or couldn’t reciprocate the feelings for whatever reason but now she/he is telling them that they are always on their mind, and to believe it even though it may seem hard because before they couldn’t and thus ended up apart. “Can we pick it up where you left off When you said you'll never get over me I'll take for granted every roll off your tongue Cause you're screaming out all your honesty” Now they are asking the person not to forget the feelings they expressed before. I think the last two lines above mean that he will pay attention to what she is saying because she’s being serious about their love, screaming out all her honesty. Maybe she had to ‘scream’...be loud because she felt it was the only way to reach this person that they want/wanted but now he’s I think trying to get her to come back to the place she was once at with him. It seems he is almost getting depressed now at the thought that he may have lost her and the last two lines I think he does a good job at screaming out his honesty. If I’m interpreting this right, he’s saying like it’ll never be enough...I’ve been taken when your word swept the ground right from under me. Her words really made an impact on him and now he realizes he is not okay with saying goodbye, he needs her. |

Time is passing and they are getting older, but their mentality about it is beautiful, younger now than we were before. I gave it my all but the fall was just brutal and although I got back up it was a miracle I did, that you wern't the end of me..that I am still alive, so this final stand comes from within. This is an awesome song. In my opinion this song is about a person, in my view a girl who has been depressed for such a long time but there is a guy that gives her such hope for better not so lonely days and when they think about that person it makes them feel safe and happy. She feels like they have a deep connection, and at night have dreamt about him often, he is an ‘Angel from my nightmare’. There is so much emotion between the two, she wonders where he is and is so sorry for having doubted if she really loves him. She cannot get to sleep because she is up worrying that he doesn’t know how much she really does love him and misses him visiting her in the night. The feeling lately she has gotten is of a sick strange darkness that only his coming to her can make the pain and the feeling of that go away. Ok I need to quickly apologize for that, because really its none of my business. I do not know Rhianna at all but her lyrics just upset me so much!!..to the point where I could really see why chris could have done something like that. But who knows what went down until they themselves come out with the truth. My intention with it was good though, I thought it would be cool to get like a t-shirt contest going to support them but I may have hit a sour note with some or it may have come off as I love chris Brown which I don’t, I don’t know him and well…I should have said luv but even that’s a little much…just tryn to show support but it was b*tchy of me to write it on her page. But again, upset. Why I would want to vote for chris with the little info I have on the pair is I’ve been upset with some of Rihanna’s lyrics for quite some time and I was trying to put myself in Chris’s shoes..and I thought that the reason he may have hit her is because he was just so disgusted. But there could be a lot of reasons why. But I feel for chris. I recently got into an altercation because somebody just disrespected me so much and I lost it. For the longest time I thought that love should be effortless but then got to thinking..and thought well, what would that prove about your love if you didnt go through trial? Just if you are going to vow to be together with someone forever I think you should really know that you mean it and know why - Im rootin for them because I know they have this great love foreachother, love that definitely could last forever...but it is true, time aparts not easy and doubt enters but once their communication is restored and they are back together i think it will become pretty effortless -and they will both grow warmer and stronger because of it. |

New interpretation.... Ok so its her that drives into the deep end, metaphor for the deep end of the pool-harder to swim, shark infested water, but eventually you catch this wave. He became her best friend because she thinks hes not afraid of sharks and likes victory- and that he wants to be able to protect her in this period of stuggle..so she convinces him to swim along. yeah this song is a hard one. We can control when but just make sure you know when is not too late. Make sure its before the other person decides they are done, sick of waiting tired of giving. She wants them to be together in the end, but she can’t do that to herself…keep loving him even though hes shutting her out. Knowing he’s not loving her right, not really believing in her, like why shouldn’t she just give up, move on? I don’t think its fair to keep giving in that circumstance. And I don’t think I agree that putting yourself out there like that and getting locked out makes you stronger. I just think it makes you colder…but shes gonna anyway because she wants them to be together. I got in a car accident yesterday, I wasnt feeling right the whole rest of the day, i think it messed with me a bit... got some good sleep though and am feeln better. ...ok so thought of something cool...in the song its this guy like lying to her right? not telling her whatever it is hes not telling her....obviously not being with her. So its got to be hard for her to just wait in dark. Waitings not easy. like doubt penetrates like crazy, at times she acts unchill and her mind wanders and rains gets in but for the most part shes chill and strong.
