| The Legion of Doom – The Quiet Screaming (Brand New vs. Dashboard Confessional) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
These songs belong together. Both of these songs have to do with relationships and how much love is still present amongst both. They both also have to do with faking feelings to keep someone in the relationship happy "Dashboard-I hope you're as happy as you're pretending"..."Brand new- I lie for only you".. distressed |

| Howie Day – Collide Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is definitely about a relationship that is ending or has recently ended and is still in the shakey state. Both or one of you realizes that though there were some words that hurt or unforgetable damage to the relationship you're still in love. "Even the best fall down sometimes.." People make mistakes, love can hurt, but that's how you know it's real. It has its ups and downs and though the ups are preffered...every relationship needs its downs. This is how you grow and learn off of eachother and work things out. In this song, Day exemplifies how the love for this other person is obvious and would like to see things through. Though they may be oposites and things may not always go right, they love eachother. "Don't stop here...I lost my place...I'm close begind". | |
| Gregory and the Hawk – Season Poem Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I feel tha this song represents any relationship, whether it be amongst friends or boyfirends/girlfriends, maybe even family. It's about growing and maturing or growing apart, seeing the world a different way. Maybe that person who was very much a part of your life, is now only a memory...a person who helped you through life's journey. You are on to bigger and better things and must leave that person behind but will always remember. There will always be something there to remind you. Copeing with change. | |
| Copeland – Brightest Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I feel that this song is representing a relationship in which the girl was ('she said that I WAS the brightest little firefly in her jar') completely in love with a boy who needed to mature ('knows what all my imperfections are'). Now that the relationship is over he is realizing what a mistake it was to end such an immense love. He wishes that the could try things out again and pleads for forgiveness. The song's pretty obvious, I just compared it to my own experiences. |
