so, this song i really think perfectly exhibits the absolute brilliance of dan keyes!!!!! there's way more depth to it than simply a night out (which we all know dan loves;)) but it's moreso about overcoming obstacles. if we get the chance to do anything we should seize it any way we can! and if we run into obstacles lets just find another way to accomplish our task :) |

to me this song is about someone getting caught up in their fame and becoming bored with it because it's so familiar. And how they're living this fantastic life and sure, it's fun, but in the end, they're alone. they've got no one to "take them home." the whole gold/gold digger part is not a reference to kanye by far. how can anyone make a comparison between chris and kanye?? its just deepening the fact that they got to go for that gold. it's reiterating that they're only a gold digger with nothing more but their fame/gold. |
