| Insane Clown Posse – Miracles Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's simply because music consists of sound which is a wave. And if you stop a wave from moving, it's not a wave anymore. So trying to hold music would be like trying to run without moving, it goes against the definition of the phenomena in question. | |

well done mate. Seriously, if your IQ is below 80 and your education consists of 5 years of elementary school, then I can understand people writing lyrics like that. This is what is wrong with this society, people's ignorance and unwillingness to learn. The line: "And I don't wanna talk to a scientist Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed" really says it all. Do scientists make him pissed because they can explain the physical world in other terms then by stating everything is a miracle? The world is not a miracle, it simply happens according to the laws of nature. |

I think this song has a deeper meaning, you know it's about the feeling you get when somebody has betrayed you and you feel this feeling of not being worth anything. It's like first love and all you know, it's hard to explain... sorry, just trying to be pretentious |

I love the lines: "Enough? There’s not enough to fatten the cows and feed all of us It’s just a rationing of luck" Conor just to be a Vegan so this is clearly about how there is no change the whole world could live of meat. The amount that is used to feed the cattle in America would serve as food for over 9 billion people, that's more than the entire population on Earth. That's what Conor is saying. Americans are just lucky to have plenty of land so they can eat all the meat they want but there is not a change the whole world could live a spoil life like that. That's also why I can't take anybody seriously when he talks about global warming and environmental issues if he eats meat (I have never heard the fucker Al Gore state he is a vegetarian). "too bad that nowadays you just point and click Swing low satellite, hot white chariot! In the computer’s blue glare, the bombs burst in the air There was a city once - now nothing is there Our freedom comes at their expense It makes sense, doesn’t it? Dollars and cents" This is kind of from the same nature, except about war and America's role in it. How politicians say they are defending the freedom of America by killing millions of people all around the world. Dianax. He is not hating America. He is just pointing out the hypocrisy of the US government and how absurd the American dream is. Plus, like la_di_da9 pointed out, he has used his influence on plenty of fronts. Conor is a great American. |

| Bright Eyes – Haligh, Haligh, a Lie, Haligh Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think the last two verses are about being totally confused about everything in your life and wondering if suicide is the way out. I don't think I've ever heard as beautiful lines about how most suicidal people feel. Wanting not to get away from everything but not really wanting to kill themselves though. I think the narrator has made some choices that he regrets and he can't believe how everything is unfolding in front of him. It makes me feel like yelling: Please come and talk to me, I understand what you're going through. "But I talk in the mirror To the stranger that appears Our conversations are circles Always one sided Nothing is clear Except we keep coming back To this meaning that I lack He says the choices were given Now you must live them Or just not live But do you want that? " |

| Bright Eyes – Let's Not Shit Ourselves (To Love and to Be Loved) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

"Well, my teachers, they built this retaining wall of memory All those multiple choices I answered so quickly And got my grades back, and forgot just as easily But at least I got an A" I just absolutely love this part, it says it all, as well as the part about sending kids to colleges. In the first part of the song, I think he is mainly talking about the American dream and how sick it can be at times. We go to school to try and get an A but what have we gained apart from the A on the scorecard? And then we go to college to become a name on a shopping list. Everybody go the same way and try to become a doctor and get a good house in the suburb. It reminds me a bit on the song Little Boxes. |

| The Cure – Friday I'm in Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |

What I think about when I hear this song is something like this: You have a crush on a girl (or a boy) and you can't wait to see them again. But you are always working on weekdays and you don't have the nerves to call them after work. So you are just waiting for Friday so you can get drunk and brave enough to go talk to her, and hopefully get closer than just talking. It's probably not what Robert Smith had in mind but it's how I connect it. |
