| I'm pretty sure the line is "merit crutched on the wretched refuse of my teeming resonance". The other does not really make sense. | |

Your gross misinterpretation of my 13 year old girl self really brought me back to high school for a minute there, see i used to know these kids who all listened to Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails who had some serious anger issues. I was being immature with my holier than thou attitude but using a internet handle of one of my favorite song lyrics, doesn't reflect any sort of immaturity but rather a love of words and language. This cloak of anonymity called the internet seems to have given you a extreme case of testicular swelling. Unlike you im not going to speculate on your gender, age, social status, or even yr intelligence. This anonymous name calling shit is what needs to stop. I would gladly sign my name to anything I write on this site or any other on account of my not gaining some inflated sense of worth or importance or confidence; people tend to say things in haste that aren't fully thought out, not deserving of castigation. If you want to insult me (or anyone for that matter), do it in your big boy voice, under your birth name not behind some false moniker you use to propagate intolerance. |

I actually interpret the lyric "angry young mannequin American Apparently" to be a bit of a criticism of those who wear American Apparel, consumerism in general. I think Tunde has a very dark, sarcastic brand of humor and it shows in lyrics like this and from Dry Drunk Emperor. Good stuff. |

| Yes I will admit I am wrong...so much for guessing lyrics from the leaked version before getting the booklet. I will say that there is a typo in the booklet, in Lover's day the word "wanton" is spelled "wonton" so hey, ya never know. And my name is CoySmileExposes, sound familiar, playhouses maybe? Im a bit of a fan. I know more about this band (and their style) than you do fistfuloflove and pessimistic lyrics are not out of the question you goon. | |
