i've heard this song thousands of times without noticing more than a sweet melody. but recently i hurted my right ankle and sudendly i remind "this is the story of your red right ankle..." and it just made perfect sense into my actual life situation! some kind of miracle/revelation i think O_o anw... i do agree it's about bonds. for me he's talking mataphoricaly about how bonds are important to your balance, even when they tend to hurt you. just can't take it out of my head... still my ankle remains red .D |

it's absolutly about a family gattering. and imogean just does what she's so good at: creates a realistic scenary mixing lyrics and melody, building an image of the members of our own family in situations we can feel bounded to. therefor all this diferent interpertations posted here, i guess. btw, the live version at studio 11 103.1fm is great, if nothing else, by the simple fact that she makes a whole song using only vocal and clapping hands :) |
