lodgerrocks, it makes sence for me. Also i believe Ugletto really know correct lyrics: check his profile, and then check his corrections on each and every song of this album in the 'request' section of the forum. Like, he is the one. So i think you should fix your lyrics. |

I think there is a typo here and it must be 'bloating' instead of 'blothing', but not sure. |

This lyrics was corrected by Ugletto, who, it seems, knows it for sure. But it also seems there is a typo in 'diminer' word - i just can't find a meaning of it. Anyone, any ideas? |

This lyrics was corrected by Ugletto, who knows them for sure it seems. But i still think he missed 'nuns where nothing under the ropes' - i think it must be 'nuns wear nothing under their robes'. |

As Ugletto told in the request section of the forum, 'dead but still' somehow related to Charles Bukowski, who was a visitor of Musso & Frank grill bar. You can check wikipedia to read a bit about this bar. |

FYK, this song about a Steve 'Pre' 'World' Prefontaine. Look in wikipedia to find out more. The only question is 'BRD'. |

I believe this song is about a man with some kind of mental illness, maybe a case of bipolar disorder or something like that. He just have to stick to his meds, or all the world begins to change. |

I believe you're baing a bit narrow-minded. USA is a part of it, yes, but the rest of the world is not that better. Like a lot of other Lodger songs, this one's in generic, not something specific. After all, look around you: they are in clean trousers, but they have dirty underwear inside it. No matter the country. |

| Lodger – Whatever the Weather Lyrics

In the ending there is word 'atatakai' - 'warm, mild, genial' in japanese, and 'des' probably is 'desu'. Can't say about other words, though, but it sounds as it can be japanese. |

Considering latest corrections (which for some reason i believe is right ones), i think this song is about mutually profitable relations without that much of feelings involved, if any at all. The only problem here is that the persona of this song sometimes are not so happy about it: maybe cause of nostalgia for some old relations lost, maybe cause of obsolete yet somehow still alive ethics, maybe something other - we all feel blue sometimes. But this disturbance is not that big, really, so it's easy to just go on.
Only one thing i don't get is 'beans'. Anyone? |

Doubt it. Always seen this song as sang by a woman. Your point have a reason, but
I see you can feel it In your jeans
Lets just solve it Like two machines
looks more like a sex theme, especially this 'jeans' line.
So i think it's about seduction. Drunk one, too. |

Ugletto, where have you seen it?!
For 3 times i wrote to lodger so they share their lyrics, and they never replied. I can't buy hardcopy CDs here (in Russia), but i heard there were no lyrics booklet in CDs. Am i wrong? |

I think it's "strong belief", as i mentioned before.
With "dull/indoor" is harder: i'm not native speaker, and i found no definite translation (/meaning) for 'dull relief', though this phrase is a phrase for sure. I'd stick to 'dull': it seems one of the meanings is result of masturbation, and considering the band it could be more appropriate version. But who knows, so it's on lodgerrocks now, if he will ever visit here to update the lyrics. =) |

On the other hand i must be overreacting, seeing insult where were none. Sorry then. :(
And anyhow thanks for 'inner' word, even though i will still stick to 'there are people...'... |

I strongly believe it's "i need strong believe", not "relief" in the first line of chorus. Like, listen careful, man. Really careful. ;) |

Man, i've listened to it for a week long, from 3rd Nov till 11th. I mean, i got almost all album deciphered in 'request' section of forum. You, on other hand, did nothing. Or did you?
Oh, and can this careful listening of yours help with other missing and/or wrong lyrics in this particular song for example? By the way, just where the hell have you heard 'some' in the beginning of this your version?
Honestly, some people do nothing and then come complaining about others, instead of helping! |

I'm triying to decipher lyrics from their new album "Honeymoon is Over". I got some, but a lot still not understood or very dubious. Anyone care to join?
(?) mark right after the word (w/o space) means i have serious doubts in this word;
(?) mark with space show my doubts in phrase or whole line
... is for words, phrases or lines i did not got at all
And i apologise to the administration of this service, but really there's no other way to bring this lyrics into existance. |

Oh, and i just remembered: on their show, singing "rapes my mind / does it from behing" Teemu Merilä was making very distinct moves to prove this version. You know, hands around hips and moving back and forth, like hittin someone exactly from behind. |

lodgerrocks, thanks! But:
What's the meaning of "dry fags" and "red lights" then? I just don't know it, this why i'm asking.
As i see it, "bare playmates" is a reference to adult magazines. But yes, it could be "bad".
I think i'll stand for "X-rated pills": i see no sence in raining pills and beams. =) |

| Lodger – Escape Plan Lyrics

I think first line should be 'Child by child, school by school'.
And i don't actually think it's about being an alchoholic: just plain daily life in the world around and building walls to prevent this world from intrusion, which also makes impossible any (real) communication, hence the jail. |

I think they you both 'rips my mind / doesn't slow behind' and 'rapes my mind / does it from behind' at various times in the song. |
