This song is so incredibly nostalgic to me, especially now. It's like the past and the present collide. An instrumental that just drips with thoughts of better days long since gone, with lyrics of encouragement that we all need to deal with what our world has turned into and become now. |

Guys I don't think this song is promoting a threesome or sexual deviance. Just because a singer sings about something doesn't mean they are for it or promote it or actually do it. Notice that shes singing about a threesome between Peter Paul and Mary? Does she mention her name in that list? No she doesn't. So obviously from that fact I think she is singing from the outside perspective. She knows it's going on but she is not participating. Then there is the line "I'm caught in between." Maybe she's conflicted by the peer pressure to join in and her own mind saying that she shouldn't. And then ofcourse the line "If you don't like the company lets just do it you and me." Maybe she likes one of the guys participating in the threesome and would rather just be alone with him. Then the line "Living in sin is the new thing." Either she really believes that or she's saying it in a sarcastic way to describe how our society is today.
Not sure if the interpretation for these certain lines goes with the rest of the song. I only briefly looked over the lyrics. Maybe it makes sense or maybe it's just me hoping that Britney is not singing slutty songs in a positive way. |

I think this song is about a woman who is lonely and wants to experience love. She believed that love at first sight was real and so she so easily gave herself away to physical intimacy, thinking that a connection and bond would be made. She's had people use her, lie to her, make and break promises all so they could get what they wanted. She continued believeing and continued on the same path. The cycle continued, she continued going through people while still trying to hang on to people from the past, so scared of being alone, terrified of it. Eventually she became impatient with everyones BS and everyone became impatient with her for wanting more. So the old ones abandoned her, word got around that she was "easy" and eventually no one wanted her anymore. She was left all alone, confused and broken.
It's sad really but that's how I look at it. |

This song is about her having a boyfriend, an actual relationship boyfriend, and shes created this image of him, this person that she wants him to be and she eventually realizes shes only been with this shadow of him that she created and she didn't take the time to understand who he really was. Just a tragic case of one person wanting another one to be their perfect dream lover and end up hurt and dissappointed. |

I think the songs send the right messages. Teens have sex 95% of them do anyway and their trying to send a message out to only have sex with someone you love and use a condom to prevent STD and teen pregnancy. I think this song is perfect towards the teenage audiance. The spice girls had fans of all ages and as you can see they knew how to cover the song up so the younger children couldnt figure out the meaning until they were old enough to learn it and obviously they accomplished that. |

It basically means their friend/lover was kidnapped and even after all these years their still searching for them and trying to find them. |
