to be fair, The Postal Service and Death Cab do have the same singer, and yes, the sound in Postal Service and Death Cab are different, but at the same time, they kinda sound the same. dont get me wrong, i love both a lot, but before you say that Owl City sounds like them, realize that they kinda sound like each other to begin wtih... AND a LOT of bands are influenced by Death Cab because, well, their amazing. aaand, just because Owl City has techno, doesnt mean they sound like Postal Service. Playradioplay! is techno, but they dont sound like The Postal Service, or Owl City, for that matter. |

well, AceIsGnarly, at least ADTR wrote a song about it instead of beating the shit out of that specific person, or even worse, killing them. you make it sound so bad, but people write songs about other people all the time, so chill your shit. plus, they dont even say the person's name. and really, the only people who will know its about a specific are apparently only people from Ocala, which isnt everyone who listens to ADTR. plus, whatever that person did to them inspired a kick ass song. and i agree with speech geek 101 just cause your from Ocala doesnt mean you know everything about ADTR. i'm from phoenix, but i dont know what particular girl inspired The Maine to write "your as weak as the hearts you break, your as fake as the moans you make" in their song The Way We Talk. |

okay, so i live in arizona, and i've seen them twice[not really willingly, they were warming up for other bands] and both times, they neglected to play this song, which i, quite frankly, is very dumb. if the song is called Arizona, you should play it in Arizona. stupid. its a catchy song, well, all of their songs are catchy, but i think its too poppy and none of their lyrics are really real. its like when they write songs, there isn't any real meaning behind it. as for this song, its pretty obvious what its about. she lives in florida, and some guy or person she cares about lives in arizona, so she drives to see them. then she realizes its a big waste of time and that the long distance really blows and isnt working out. |
