I love this this song and have been looking for the lyrics all over the place. I have only heard it sung my Emma Kirby though, and was catious when I first cheacked it these out. The one sung by that Jeff Burkley guy are way off, these are one the spot and are perfect. I am forever in your debt for posting this!

The Birthday Massacre – Blue Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that is a wonderful interpretation, it goes so deep into hidden meanings of some words. I happen to have a thing for times of day and weather that kind off stuff and I always thought about how twilight is the time of day when it is dark but there is still some light, and that one line about twilight fading made me think about how now all light on the situation has died. I think you did a wonderful explanation and agree completely with you.

Emilie Autumn – O Mistress Mine Lyrics 17 years ago
It's from Twelfth Night, or as some call it What You Will. It's from Act 2, Scene 3. Feste sings this song for he is a clown and its his job. Emilie, being a big Shakespeare fan herself, simply took the words from the book and sang them wonderfully. ALthought she did change the word mirth to joy when she sings it.

Emmy Rossum – Been Too Long Lyrics 17 years ago
I believe its about how they were so comfortable and happy together one moment, and then somewhere along the line he became cold towards her, and they broke up. But it's now in the past and even though sometimes she wishes she could go back to that September when everything was perfect, she knows that it couldn't be fixed even if she did, and realises that its happened and it can't be erased.

But that is just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
