I think it's nonsense and mockery about overinterpretation. Like "I am he As you are he As you are me And we are all together." - this might refer to the usual "when he says "I" he means the whole mankind" and so on. "Elementary penguin singing Hare Khrishna Man you should have seen them Kicking Edgar Allen Poe." The penguin might possibly refer to Penguin books, don't know if they are used in British schools, but we did use them in our English lessons. Well, they rather interpreted Beatles lyrics then, therefor the penguin is singing Hare Krishna. But this is just an idea. But "kicking E. A. Poe" could really mean kicking classic lecture for pop music lyrics. Anyway, I think it is not all words without sense. |
