This song for me, is about a dream. A woman is dreaming of the man she desires in her waking life. "In the desert of my dreams I saw you there" says it. "And I'm walking towards the water's steaming body, cold and bare" probably tells us that in her dream, theres a body of water. "But your words cut loose the fire and you left my soul to bleed and the pain thats in your truths deceiving me has got me scared", says that in her dream, the man turned her away/didnt see her/ignored her/etc, basically that she didnt manage to reach out to him and it hurt her. "Through your eyes the strains of battle like a brooding storm" refers to her description of him somewhat. "Youre up and down these pristine velvet walls like focus never forms" is simply that she sees him everywhere in her dream but cannot seem to get to him. "I see you now, a vague deception of a dying day" = he's in her sight now clearly. Once again, just as the last lines say, she loses focus of him , theres people around in her dream and she cannot see him no more. "You;re gone and I;m lost inside this tangled web in which I've lain entwined" The dream's over and shes lying in her bed. |

| Uh Huh Her – Wait Another Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I LOOOVE this song!! I think this song is about a girl who'll wait and wait as long as it takes to get close to the one she desires. She's alone for the moment, thinking of him ("I look at the starlight/I am shattered by the night") but one day she'll break free and approach him ("I always run when I can/And I'll hide where I wanna hide"). The thought of his love feels so right that she wants it immediately. "I went out of my mind/I'm calling you one more time" refers to her making yet another move on him even though she might see at as a crazy thing to do. But she's going to have to wait until the perfect opportunity ("I will wait to love you, I will wait another day") She claims she'd leave her present life behind to be with him, which probably hints to the fact that she would HAVE to do that to be with him. And of course the "I will waste another dream on you" tells us that she dreams of him at night... "I will take the long road but it leads right back to you" tells us that whatever way she decides to approach him, she will eventually. Or more litteral, she will go take a walk to his house and whatever road she decides to take, she'll eventually get to him. I love this song. So ironic that I'm in a VERY similar situation right now and that every word perfectly fits with it :p lol |

My favourite song in the whole world!!! To me, it's about someone who's completely obsessed with a said love interest, up to the point that they're losing their sanity over them, trying to keep up with them, keep an eye on them. He's trying to make that person see that he wants them but isn't sure how to do it ("And I don't know if I can do it/Oh no I've said too much/I havent said enough"). Or "I set it up" means that they have arranged to meet with them maybe? "That's me in the corner, etc" simply is a shoutout to the other, saying "hey im here, look here it's me who loves you!". So he's trying to keep up with the person, trying to keep his eyes on her. "Every whisper of every waking hour Im choosing my confessions", is like "what should I tell them, am I doing too much, not enough, etc". "Like a hurt lost and blinded fool" speaks for itself: he's hurt, lost and confused and maybe blinded by love too. "Consider this the hint of the century, consider this a slip" means that he might have slipped a hint to the person, but he might have also slipped and ruined his chances. "You brought me to my knees/what if all these fantasies" also speaks for itself. And finally "I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you saying, etc" is that he's fantasizing and dreaming about the love interest, dreaming that they try a move on him, but "that was just a dream, just a dream, dream..." This song is based on my love life I swear.. lol |

| Clearly speaks for itself - a man gives in to a woman's sexual advances, just as she had apparently planned it all the way. | |
