| Lagwagon – Know It All Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| You didn't get the meaning at all. The singer is using sarcasm for a lot of the song, especially when he says "Talent's exclusive to bands without pay". He is calling his friend out for not liking a band because they're on the radio, which, from the singer's viewpoint, isn't parallel to what their music sounds like or how good it is. The moral of the song is to like a band or dislike a band for how they sound, not whether or not they get paid for making their music. | |
| New Found Glory – Listen To Your Friends Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me, this song seems to be a case of someone's friends telling him that some chick isn't right for him, taken to an extreme. They told him not to date her, but he does. She ends up hating him for some reasn and then he apparently get knocked into a coma by her and ends up in a hospital without memory of what happened. I find that hard to believe but that's my interpretation. It would be fairly more believable if Jordan (the singer) meant to be singing from the perspective of a girl and she dated a guy who got pissed and knocked her out. It just seems improbable for a girl to send a guy into a coma hah. The "I know that you went in for a kiss, and I told you that's not only what this is" leads me to believe that the girl jordan's singing about what just trying to get somewhere with him, but he actually has feelings for her and wants to be with her. And that's why his friends told him "she has bad intentions". So maybe Jordan (since I think he's straight edge like Chad) wouldn't do anything sexual with the girl, she got outraged and violent. I'm probably taking the song too literally. He's probably saying that the girl tried to take advantage of him, and it hurt him emotionally instead of physically. Wow hah |

| Obviously about how the singer or whoever wrote the song is always away from his girlfriend or loved one because he's on tour. People who travel a lot for work can relate to it. | |

"The well that inebriates the guilt." That line is so fucking amazing. |

| The Living End – What Would You Do? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think it's obvious, he just met a girl, and he doesn't know her that well, but he thinks he really likes her. He just doesn't exactly know what she would do if he told her he loved her. "What would you do?" "I've stopped myself from trying I shouldn't talk to you But now inside I'm dying What would you do?" He realizes he probably has no chance with the girl in the near future since he barely knows her, so he tries to just stop talking to her, to avoid embarrassing himself in front of her, but it kills him inside to be without her. |

| Green Day – Disappearing Boy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think it's generally about not being very social. Sort of not always wanting to walk in a room full of people and talk just 'cuz. He doesn't feel like he fits in with most people so that is why he doesn't feel comfortable walking in crowded rooms. "I have my doubts of where I belong" he doesn't know exactly who can understand him and in which group of people he 'belongs' to. Also, the part about "In that room I see her, I see her and she's with him" this is just an added detail of how the girl he likes is with another guy, and he just sits back and walks away wishing she wasn't with him. This just adds to his alienation, even the girl he loves doesn't want him. He feels that no where he goes, he will be accepted or understood. "Disappearing Boy" is just a funny way of saying that he won't be caught seen with anyone anymore because he knows he doesn't really belong. Very similar to "I want to be Alone" in this sense. |

| Green Day – Sassafras Roots Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think this is a way of Billie trying to tell a girl he likes her. He realizes all he does all day is lie around, as does she, so why shouldn't they just waste time together? | |
| Green Day – Dry Ice Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"This song is so sad... It's really obvious what he's talking about. He's talking about Adrienne, and if he's going to understand if she just wants to be his friend...It's so sweet." This song was written around 89-90. Billie hadn't met Adrienne until about 92-93 if I remember correctly. Dry Ice was originally on the "1000 Hours" EP, the whole EP being about one girl, his friend's sister. It's a love song. A very beautiful love song. I do believe it's "Come ease the pain that's in my heart." This is my favorite Green Day song ever. |

| Green Day – Road to Acceptance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is about people who change themselves or act a certain way to be accepted by society and those around them. The intro and verses are from the point of view of the people who are conforming for society. The "I feel forgotten" part to the "We feel the same pain" is from Billie's perspective, where he's saying that he doesn't understand why people do this, it's killing him because people won't accept him for being himself, and he asks everyone why? He says that we're all the same, nothing else matters. The blind hatred part means that the "society" won't accept you without even knowing who you are, if you don't do what they want you to, you have no chance with them, therefore they're making a "blind hatred". |

| People In Planes – Mayday (M'Aidez) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this might be a call for help to God / a higher power. "Help me, you know me better than I know myself" God does "Mayday mayday, Send angels, I'm a danger to myself" He realizes that he is doing something that he knows is wrong but can't help himself (some addiction?) so he asks God to send angels or any form of help he can to help him, because he is a danger to himself. "I'm failing all my friends and Im' faling everyone" This could mean he's dissapointing everyone he knows because his problem is affecting his social life. "How long was I sleeping?" I think this could metaphorically mean that he just realizes he has this problem, and this whole time he has had the problem but not known about it was him "sleeping". Idk, it may not be what he intended the song to be about but It fits in my opinion. |

I assume, however, that a wet dream WITH someone, would just be a complicated way of saying sex? And then with "We need to know what it's like, To make love sometimes I'm a virgin, and so are you." he's saying to his girl that he thinks he's ready to take it to that level, trying to convince her? The rest of the song doesn't seem to add up though. |

I also agree with Tim Project. I think that it's about how you need to form your own opinions, and stand by them, and realize how much what you think means to you and what your opinion is worth, as in, "Tell me what is worth dying for Would you give up everything to make one lasting point" Then at the end he says "I am the reason, you are the reason to abandon everything we have become". Like Tim project said, he realizes that his loved ones are worth everything to him. |

I posted the correct lyrics from the booklet, so hopefully they'll be up soon. It's actually "It's like a wet dream with you" I have no idea what the song is about. |
