Please don't strip my mind - I think it's a plea to God, I mean, who else could strip his mind? I couldn't strip my mind of a single memory if I wanted too, I'd be some trick to do it for someone else. The lotto verse is a simple statement saying that the clueless lotto winning El Doradans with all their cash know what he's been through cause he was also clueless when he won his lotto (huge record deal, money fame etc). He's basically saying that immediate extreme wealth comes with a big price to pay. |

In my opinion, this this the best version of this fabulous song, better even than S&G's. That said, I don't see why this version needs a new listing, or indeed any cover of any song need their own listing. Does the meaning of the song change because someone else sings it? Is it a new and different song? |
