now that I come back to this, I completely disagree with all that I said except for "looking for meaning in all the wrong places" |

| Thom Yorke – Cymbal Rush Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"There were 10 in a bed and the little one said, 'roll over'." that's the outro, I'm pretty sure.. a traditional child's rhyme in the UK I think this song is about the climate-related disasters that are on the rise and how we should've "took it out when we had the chance".. but we'll probably just not act till there's no time left for conversation. don't let this happen http://www.danmansmusic.com/childrens/ten_in_a_bed.txt |

| Radiohead – A Punchup at a Wedding (No No No No No No No No) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| interesting. I thought it might have been referring to the incident at a wedding in Afghanistan in 2002, http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/central/07/15/pentagon.wedding.attack/ .. but I like the cold feet interpretation too. interesting how many meanings you can draw out of Thom's lyrics | |
| Radiohead – House of Cards Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is so beautiful and scary sounding.. yet somehow at the core so peaceful. It's like a beautiful chaos. eatenbytheworms and kundog have said it all, I think | |
| Radiohead – The Tourist Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| So Jonny definitely wrote the music for this, but who wrote the lyrics? Thom or Jonny? | |
| Radiohead – Last Flowers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
like others, I wish this had made it onto OK Computer, but I think maybe it was too personal? And you can hear echoes of No Surprises in it (maybe it was the source of No Surprises?), and Karma Police during the chorus. Or maybe that's just me I definitely think the "if you take me there you'll get relief" relates to the Last Flowers, the hospital image, but I think the hospital is a metaphor for anything that will give the other person space, as the narrator feels like they are burdening them. this song is so intense it's almost hard to listen to, but it's beautiful..I really wish it had appeared on the first disc of In Rainbows. |

Hey Mjauwkis, you mean Julia? amazing song I just noticed that in the From the Basement version, when he's counting, when gets to seven he sings "7 get to heaven". |

| Radiohead – 4 Minute Warning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| oops got that backwards "Laying flat on the ground, just like everybody"... | |
| Radiohead – 4 Minute Warning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"Just like everbody, laying flat on the ground" is this a sly reference to the Just video, or just a coincidence? either way it's all I could think of when I heard it... I love this song so much |
|
| Radiohead – Dollars and Cents Lyrics | 17 years ago |

| Radiohead – Nude Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"don't get any big ideas they're not gonna happen" (don't feel as though sex and finding a companion will magically change anything. don't rush into a relationship with no actual love or foundation to it) "you'll paint yourself white" (become pure, or seem so on the outside. lose substance) "and fill up with noise" (full up like a landfill, maybe insincere emotion) "but there'll be something missing" (you put all your eggs in this basket. you're not whole) "now that you've found it it's gone now that you feel it you don't you've gone off the rails" (like orgasm, you feel it then it's gone. intangible. maybe it's a metaphor for something else. looking for meaning in all the wrong places) "you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking" (your confusion is going to drive you mad. mental and emotional hell) it's another warning song imo it's damn beautiful |

| Radiohead – Dollars and Cents Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
soulless materialism and the evil things done in the name of money and the never shutting up, constant advertising, constant hot air blowing around and just singing "quiet down" at the top of your lungs but you can't be heard over the noise what an incredible album |
|
| Radiohead – Permanent Daylight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| They played this on september 11th 2001 in Berlin, and dedicated it to the Bush administration. good god I love this band. | |
| Radiohead – Everything in Its Right Place Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I love this song and anyone who says that Amnesiac is not as good as Kid A needs to listen to it again... put the two albums together and in my opinion, you have the best album ever made. aside from all the other Radiohead albums, of course |
