I find it a tad bit ironic that everyone is trying to put her sexuality into some sort of definitive box when even she chooses not to define it. I find this song really sad. |

I think this song is very obviously about 9-11 and Ani's view of how corrupt the government is. How she was not going to fall for the lame excuse to go to war with another country. How the building falling was the most war-like thing to occur and how it seemed to be planned and committed by our own government. It's almost as if she is not only trying to make people aware of the crimes of our government but also to make them angry enough to fight back against all of the people who are abusing their power. I like the first time she did this poem the best. It was a bit different than this. |
