m2bow+d: "the proper hindu way to spell krishna is krsna." ------------------------- Hmmm... the "proper" Hindu way to spell Krishna is actually कृष्ण. Since it is transliterated into English, it can be spelled as either "Krsna" or "Krishna" (or even the less common hybrid, "Krisna"). I tend to spell His name 'Krishna' so that someone unfamiliar with the pronunciation doesn't get confused and go, "Who's 'Kursnuh'?" b/c of how strange a word w/o vowels looks. Okay, that aside, great song. George probably included "Hallelujah", etc. b/c the Hare Krishna movement/ISKCON claims that it's not created for you to give up your previous religious figures (whether Mohammad, Buddha, Jesus, or whatever) but for you to incorporate Krishna into your beliefs as well. |
