I do agree that this song could be about a guy dating a girl and realizing he wanted what he has/had before. To me personally, however, it has a different meaning. To me, the two girls are the same person. My boyfriend and I broke up about a week ago because of many reasons, but one reason is that we have both changed and he wants the girl I was when we started going out a year and a half ago. "You had it all for a pretty little while And somehow you made me smile when i was sad" He liked me independent and able to handle my own problems and do everything on my own, but then I got used to him being there for me and was probably too dependent on him for everything. Then he realized he liked me better the way I was, not the way I am now. We're currently on a break but planning on getting back together. |
