It means "may every day be better than the one before, but tomorrow isn't even important in the big scheme of things"

I like the title of the song because IMO it has two meanings:
Wake up call (for the guy) = Finding his woman in bed with someone else made him "realise" she's not the person he thought she was
Wake up call (for the cheating lover and the guy she's in bed with) = i.e "Reveille" for them both in the morning |

Hey everyone, this is my input:
When I listen to the chorus I interpret it as a two part thing: one person saying to another, "I want to be forever young". And then the person thinks about the comment for a second, and then replies to them kind of naievely with, "Do you really want to live forever?" dismissing the fact that the person is wanting to stay youthful.
I think both people are naive, the first one because they want to live forever, and the second one because they don't realise the changes that are to come when they leave their younger years.
Oh and I also think when they say: "Some are like water, some are like the heat/
Some are a melody and some are the beat", I think they're referring to different personality types of the people that they've met along the way.
So yes, in conclusion this song is super great and I want to listen to it as many times as I can before I get old :D |
