haahh half you people are outa your minds. i didnt know that john mayer was a sellout, but i dont think theyd write a song about him coz thats not nice and not their style. i love the BEPs and especially jack!! jack didnt stoop low, i think its awesome that 2 different kinda genres can get together. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SINGS POP OR IS ON THE RADIO DOESNT MEAN THEYRE A SELLOUT, GOSH!! i agree with 'good.enough'- everybodys arguing about the BEPs being lame, and whether its about john mayer or not. the point is that this songs about people that are adicted to material things, which is such a common issue. it helped me realise that having cool stuff means absolutly nothing. when you die all you take with you is your soul. THIS SONGS AWESOME. jacks original 'gone' is waaay good too, if you havnt heard it check it out! my favie bit is: I seen your kind before your the type that thinks souls is sold in the store packaged up with inscence sticks with a vegetarian meal to you thats rightious. i think its so true, people that dress a certain way, listen to a style of music and become vegitarians just coz they think that will make them seem like an awesome individual. true awesomeness comes from within!! and i laughed real hard at: so you got your mommy, and money and your money on your mind HAHAHA yes ive got my mommy :| bit of a typo there. neways PEACE everybody, KEEP IT REAL!! :) |

i think this was the first no doubt song i heard and it got me hooked!! ive never actually thought about the lyrics but yeah now i see how its likely to be about an alcoholic. before now i just thought it was a silly/fun song. neways its cool as. no doubt rulez :) |

i sorta thought it might be about her brother, but yeah its probly a loverr or friend. but i relate it to my brothers, coz im abit younger than them i wasnt around when my rentals were at their craziest point. i got the good childhood and i wish my bros could have too. |

i love that this song has an OBVIOUS message! most of jacks songs have good messages in them. but i dont have to rack my brains trying to understand what the lyrics are saying! saves me a headache lol. fight for freedom, sure. but bloody hell these wars aint goin nowhere! i wish the whole world could listen to jacks music. |

this song is amazing. its really cool to hear all the different opinions on what the lyrics are about, most didnt even click to me untill now. i especially love "I wanna take the preconceived out from underneath your feet. we could shake it off and instead we'ld plant some seeds" boy, ild love to take the preconceived out from under peoples feet. |
