It's clearly about war, and then of course it's coupled with the notion that we may never really know which side is right, or how no side is right, and war ultimately does nothing for the people invovled, and how politics can jerk us around. |

It sounds like it has communist overtones, and that it refers at the beginning to some form of "Opium for the masses." Just my 2 cents. |

Wikipedia says it's about the Death Gate Cycle book series. It sort of fits the description of the labyrinth, and runes are an essential part of the series. It might be, though if it is, it seems a little vague. They should have stuck a name like "Haplo" or "Chelestra" in there so that fans would know they were talking about the series, just like they did with their LOTR stuff. |
