okay no. i've looked at this song a million times, and i think i understand it pretty well. he's really liking this girl, and he's fallen into the normal pattern of trying to impress someone. he's saying nothing is gonna stop him from liking her and getting her but death. "nothings gonna stop me but divine intervention" he's saying a lot of the people around him are so close minded and they cant accept others and they're not spontaneus "open up your plans and damn you're free" he's saying go by what you feel and just go along with the ride. and about the tongue thing- he's focusing too hard on things that really dont matter, and he finally realized how stupid it was, and he laughed at himself for it. |

i agree with the people that are saying his friends are going to try and help him through by lying but what i think is kind of hard to understand is, if he misses his "girl" so much, then why wait till july? i think thats when his doctor told him around the area where he might die, and he's going to be with her in some way or, that's when he was getting cured with the radiation and he didnt wanna put his girlfriend through a lot of worry, so he's waiting till he's cured to get back to her. |
