I think the "You're the only lover I had who ever slept with a knife" possibly meant Carlos was always watching what he said, did etc. Maybe he (Carlos) was quite watchful that anything could happen at any given time? Or possibly, he could've slept with someone that Peter didn't like, a backstabber perhaps? I have heard Peter say before that one of Carlos' girlfriends convinced him that Peter was bad and that The Libertines were going nowhere and maybe they should call it quits. Very interesting... |
