It happened to me recently, almost verse by verse. I wasn't in love, but deep in my heart I wanted to believe it could be something in the future. I gave my best effort. Obviously, the last verse was how it ended, at early morning *sad violin* "Act as if this is forever, Assume the roles we could never be". He said that moment between us was a 'footstep in the sand', but I was thinking something as similar as this verse. That's why I'm falling in love with this band. Regards :D |

I think it's the opposite. More than the end of a relationship, I see it like the end of the illusion that relationship had. That strophe could be about someone who tried to see the real person who is his/her lover, but the idealization (the clouds) blocks it... In fact, I could tell every verse has melancholy, sadness and realization of some kind of truth, but there's hope and the idea that "nothing lasts forever" =) Regards! |

Wow, I didn't thought about killing at all when I read the lyrics of this song, but it's a great idea. For me, it's about a man who tells a woman (with children, problems, etc.) to relax and to spend a little time with him and with herself. |
