Dream Theater – Just Let Me Breathe Lyrics 16 years ago
I knew this was about the pressure during the FII recording sessions. Listening to the song and hearing the "Just close your mind, you can find all you need with your eyes" line made me realize this.

However, it looks like I was a little late to comment about it. First DT song I figured out without using SongMeanings. Hooray!

Dream Theater – Speak to Me Lyrics 17 years ago
Dream Theater can be both technical and clean, as well as emotional. Of course, this is an old comment, but look at TMOLS on Systematic Chaos and tell me I'm wrong.

Dream Theater – Forsaken Lyrics 17 years ago
LittlePrincezz, I have to agree with you. A few days ago, I was thinking about how all of the songs in Systematic Chaos fit together, and I figured it told the story of a reawakening of a man who goes to hell because of a mistaken deal with the "Dark Master" in the ITPOE series while being wounded in a fight, and is able to find his way back finally at the end of the album.

It's not really a conceptual album as far as concepts go, but it does all link together to form somewhat of a story.

Dream Theater – A Change of Seasons Lyrics 17 years ago
This is an incredible song, as many others said, and it's definitely one of me favorites. It is about MP, his mother dying, and such, but some of the sections can be interpreted more interpersonally. I think MP intended for people to learn from this, as did I, and I'm sure many others, as well.

Dream Theater – The Killing Hand Lyrics 17 years ago
Are you kidding? Jordan Rudess wasn't even in LTE when WDADU was made... and I don't think that Moore did anything to make guitar sounds in the intro, anyways.

Saving Abel – Addicted Lyrics 17 years ago
This is music, and some people do like it. That's cool, but I agree with cso1982. The song's a bit generic. However, listening to a bunch of country and rap isn't much better. A well-written song has a lyrical structure both metaphoric and indirect. Like most other bands, these people are producing the same generic music that's been played on the radio for years and it really gets on my nerves. For music both based lyrically on true life experiences and instrumentally indescribable, listen to Dream Theater or any other progressive band that has been in the industry long enough to know what they're doing. Not some retard with the maturity of a 15 year old and lyrical capacity of an 8 year old.

If you really like it, that's not a problem. I can't say that any music is better than any other music. What I can say is that a band with 3 Berklee graduates and 1 Juliard graduate is bound to be a bit more professional than a band like Saving Abel.
