Cursive – Hymns for the Heathen Lyrics 17 years ago
I love how he bases obviously the entire album around Happy Hollow, merely only a street in Omaha (I've grown up here). He ends with the line referring to this summing up his entire album and how he grew up in Omaha (a largely Catholic population). Escaping this overbearing religion, especially in this town, is tough. I know growing up as Catholic as well and "defecting" if you will 10 years ago. Still hard to escape.

I agree with theg1k definitely. This song has much to do with how upset parents get at state-approved education. Plays alot at the seperation of church and state.

Cursive – Retreat! Lyrics 17 years ago
The song is very powerful to me as well. I think Tim is really questioning how someone can put so much faith and belief in a entity (or non-entity) that we are told is just "there." And questioning religion seems to be such a touchy subject, I'm really happy that Tim has questioned it all on this album. Being a Catholic from birth till about 10 years ago and from Omaha, I can relate to many things that Tim and Co. have to say.
