| My interpretation is that Ingrid is singing about someone she loves. I think its a man, who everyone sees as strong, but she knows him better than they do, and she knows his weakness. She also knows she can't help him, there may be many reasons why. But she "sends him away" so that he can help himself. Because the only people we can truly change is ourselves. Although this hurts her, she wants to have him back in her life, and perhaps this is the only way. To let go of him now, and hope things will change. Its all about hope, and faith that things will work out. | |
