@matrixlover: The part about 'the little one', means to me that he's talking to himself, he's the little one.
'You can't keep running away
You musn't go outside yet
It's not your time to play'
I thought he might have been fooling around with other women alot, and that now he's correcting himself: You can't keep running away from the pain through other women(Slow down little one, you can't keep running away), and you're also not ready yet for a serious relationship (You musn't go outside yet, it's not your time to play). But hey, I could (and probably 'am') be wrong. Totally agree with you about the rest. PS: Sorry for my writing skills, English is not my native language, and I'm still in school :)

I also agree most of what GirlsInWhiteDresses sais.

When I first heard the song, I figured it was about a guy who really likes a girl, but she is to afraid to start a relationship 'cause she was hurt to much in the past by other people. She likes him too but she runs away. As soon as they get close she gets scared:

''We're having so much fun
I know you shouldn't run
But you run, you just run
You just run baby''

Because she was so hurt earlier, she build a kind of wall around her, and put up a mask:

''Put away your old disguise''

At the end the guy just thinks he's got nothing to lose and offers himself to the girl:

''Me here
Heart in hand
Offering
What I can
Patience
Running thin
Come on girl
Let me in''

But hey, just a thought...
