| Alice Cooper – Didn't We Meet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
On the album "Alice Cooper goes to hell" Alice is brought before the king of hell. The word Satan is never used on the album, but it seems obvious that the king of hell is Satan. Instead of becoming scared when facing satan, Alice seems mostly surprised. He's seen Satan before, before he came to hell. Now what does that mean? I am not sure. Maybe that Satan rules earth as well as hell? |

The song originally had different lyrics. It was written as an anti-vietnam song, but there were allready a lot of anti-vietnam songs at the time, and they didn't want to make an obvious political statement. So they thought they'd do something else with the song, something more original, with more humor. So they transformed it into this romantic love song, which turns out to be a travestite. The contrast between this sweet love song and the dark "I love the dead" was meant as an extra humurous effect. |

| Alice Cooper – You And Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I always thought this was some sort of satire, some sort of joke. I am not sure of that, but that is what it sounds like to me. | |
| Alice Cooper – How You Gonna See Me Now Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I don't know if it was intended like that, but as I see it, it has two meansings. It is about a man coming back form the assylum, hoping that his wife still loves him and still wants him. It is also about a rockstart coming back to business after a long absence, hoping his fans still love him and still want him. | |
| Alice Cooper – Desperado Lyrics | 17 years ago |

The song is a hommage to Jim Morrison. Alice Cooper tried to sound like Morrison in this song. That doesn't mean the song is ABOUT Jim Morrison. The song is about some gunslinger. Gangster or cowboy? Could be both, although the title seems to suggest a western theme. I think that Alice Cooper deliberately wrote it so that it could be either. |

| Alice Cooper – You Gotta Dance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
On the album "Alice Cooper goes to hell" this is the second song, right after Alice Cooper has descended into hell. You would expect that after descending into hell, that the first thing you'd see is people suffering, not people dancing. Apparently this means something. When this record came out in 1976, disco was hot. Apparently Alice Cooper wants to say something like: disco is hell. |

| Alice Cooper – Gutter Cat vs. The Jets Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
There are two gangs fighting each other, each with their own musical theme. The first gang, the Gutter Cats, are made up by Alice Cooper, as far as I can tell. The second gang, the Jets, are from the West Side Story. Both the melody and the lyrics from that part are straight out of the movie. It's not like Alice Cooper stole the song, he just took a song that, at that time, everybody knew, and combined it with a song of his own. The next song on the album is "Street Fight", in which you can hear the two gangs fighting each other. |
